AP Physics C Mechanics Model Exams 2027: 5 Full Tests
Five original full-course simulations. Each test uses 42 MCQs in 85 minutes plus four FRQs in 95 minutes, with weighting-aware unit coverage and post-test diagnostics.
Choose an exam and section
Run Section I, Section II, or the full simulation. The engine saves MCQ responses, flags, timing state and the model-exam result locally.
Model-exam quality controls
Weighting-aware unit allocation
Each 42-question paper uses integer counts that remain inside the currently published MCQ weighting ranges. The lower-weight unit emphasis rotates among papers.
Distinct model-exam prompts
Model-exam stem text is separate from the topic-bank stems, while every item retains a bank/topic reference for post-test repair.
Four FRQ types every time
Each model exam contains MR, TBR, Experimental Design & Analysis, and QQT in one four-question set.
Diagnostic result
MCQ results are broken down by unit, topic, category and science practice. FRQ work can be transferred to the rubric self-grader instead of reduced to an unreliable automatic prose score.

Five Mechanics model exams: how to use complete timed sets
Use each practice exam as a diagnostic rather than a substitute for unit lessons. The official 2027 Mechanics format allocates 85 minutes for 42 multiple-choice questions and 95 minutes for four free-response questions. Repeat this timing only for a properly assembled full-format set; do not claim that a shorter practice selection is a complete 2027 simulation.
Worked mechanics checkpoint
A 2 kg block attached to an ideal spring has spring stiffness 50 N/m. At displacement 0.20 m, stored spring energy is U=(1/2)kx²=(1/2)(50)(0.20)²=1.0 J. If that energy converts entirely to kinetic energy for the same 2 kg mass, (1/2)mv²=1.0, giving speed 1.0 m/s. The conclusion assumes no dissipative work.
Review the examination
For every FRQ, classify the source of lost points: representation, mathematical model, calculus, units, or communication. The same error may affect several questions, but count and remedy it by concept rather than memorizing the exact answer. For MCQs, record both the chosen answer and the physical reason that rules out the distractors.
