AP Statistics Exam Review 2027: complete five-unit AP review
This page is only for the College Board AP Statistics Exam in May 2027. It reviews the five revised units, the four statistical practices, Bluebook pacing, and the 42-MCQ + 4-FRQ assessment. If you need a teacher-made semester final or midterm review, use the separate class final review.
AP Exam review and a school final require different preparation
This URL owns preparation for the standardized May 2027 AP Exam. A local final can use teacher-specific timing, assignments, labs, enrichment, or only part of the course, so that belongs on a different page rather than being mixed into this one.
Five current units, four practices, 42 MCQs, four FRQs, Bluebook, calculator/reference workflow, and AP-style conclusions.
Use the class final review when your teacher controls the tested units or assessment style.
Five units, five AP-level evidence tests
Mark a unit ready only when you can choose methods, justify conditions, calculate correctly, and interpret in context—not merely recognize vocabulary.
15-question AP review check: three questions from every unit
The diagnostic deliberately samples all five revised units equally. It is a weakness locator—not a substitute for the official-weighted 42-question practice section.
Every content topic should be reviewed through a statistical practice
Formulate Questions
Identify the population, parameter, variables, and statistical question before choosing a procedure.
Collect Data
Reason about sampling, random assignment, bias, confounding, design, and what conclusions are justified.
Analyze + Interpret
Use displays/models/inference correctly, then translate numerical output into a conclusion with the correct scope.
Do not spend final AP-review time relearning removed required content
Geometric distributions, χ² goodness-of-fit, inference for a regression slope, combining random variables, and the former dedicated “analyzing departures from linearity” topic are not required core in the revised course. Residual plots and model-suitability reasoning still matter, and chi-square homogeneity/independence remain current.
Convert review into exam evidence
- 1
Repair the lowest diagnostic unit
Use topic-level or MCQ practice until the error type is understood.
- 2
Practice typed reasoning
Complete a current four-question FRQ set and self-score each question out of 10.
- 3
Run a full timed simulation
Use the 42-MCQ + 4-FRQ practice test only after targeted repair.
- 4
Correct, do not merely retest
Label every miss as concept, method selection, condition, calculation, interpretation, or pacing.
