AP Physics C Study Plan 2027: Adaptive Mechanics & E&M
Build a course-specific plan from available days, daily time, confidence and weakest unit. Every generated block routes to exact lessons and practice instead of repeating a generic unit list.
How the adaptive plan chooses work
| Input | How it changes the plan | What stays fixed |
|---|---|---|
| Course | Limits lesson, bank and model-exam routes to Mechanics, E&M, or a deliberate alternation of both. | Mechanics and E&M full-exam results remain separate. |
| Days available | Controls how aggressively topics are grouped and how often mixed review/model exams appear. | The plan never invents new syllabus topics. |
| Daily minutes | Changes the amount of lesson repair, MCQ retrieval and FRQ writing assigned per day. | Accuracy and evidence come before raw question volume. |
| Confidence | Low confidence emphasizes learning; medium alternates repair and practice; high confidence emphasizes timed transfer. | Weak-topic repair remains available at every level. |
| Weakest unit | Adds extra retrieval/retest exposure to the selected unit. | Other units are still sampled so the plan does not become a single-unit tunnel. |
Adaptive plan rules
Low confidence
The schedule gives more time to lesson repair, representation building and topic-level MCQs before full simulations.
Medium confidence
Lessons and mixed practice alternate; weak units receive extra repetitions and FRQ evidence work.
High confidence
More time moves to timed mixed sets, model exams, FRQ writing and error-log closure.
Both courses
The plan keeps Mechanics and E&M scores separate but can alternate branches. Near the 2027 dates, Mechanics gets priority before May 3 and E&M before May 5.
Use a three-part daily cycle
Retrieve
Start from memory: definitions, diagrams, model conditions, formulas and one short representation task.
Apply
Use targeted MCQs or one FRQ section to force model selection without the lesson open.
Repair
Classify misses, reopen only the exact lesson/formula/lab needed, then solve a new parallel item.
Record
Save the result in the dashboard so the next plan is driven by evidence rather than memory of what felt difficult.
