Store observations in a list or table. Desmos can summarize the data and display sample standard deviation and five-number summary.
Do not report Sx as a population standard deviation unless the data are actually the entire population.

The revised 2026–27 course removed the geometric distribution, chi-square goodness-of-fit, inference for a regression slope, combining random variables, and analyzing departures from linearity. What calculator output does not write for you on an FRQ
Many calculator pages stop at button sequences. AP Statistics does not. The scoring value comes from connecting technology to a defensible statistical argument.
Do not write only “reject H₀.” State the significance comparison and conclude about the population parameter in the problem context.
Identify the parameter and confidence level, then interpret the interval as plausible values for that population quantity.
Interpret slope using response units per one unit of the explanatory variable. Association is not automatically causation.
Check expected-count conditions and link the decision to evidence of association/difference in the categorical setting.
Six calculator mistakes that create wrong AP Statistics answers
Read the input labels. A test that asks for x and n wants integer successes and sample size, not p̂ and n.
The calculator follows your alternative. Translate “greater than,” “less than,” and “different from” before opening the test menu.
For sample data used to estimate a population spread, sample standard deviation is usually the relevant statistic.
For matched pairs, calculate differences first and analyze the single list of differences with a one-sample t procedure.
Correct arithmetic cannot rescue an invalid procedure. Randomness, independence, counts/shape and design requirements still matter.
Geometric, chi-square goodness-of-fit and regression-slope inference are no longer core topics in the revised AP Statistics framework.
