Cross-sectional area is multiplied by total linear length. Barrier curb uses a trapezoidal curb plus the rectangular gutter slab and any entered depressed wedge. Rolled curb uses its own adjustable rounded-profile factor rather than pretending every rolled curb has the same geometry.
Why this is separate from the Concrete Yard Calculator
A curb-and-gutter project is a continuous compound cross-section. It needs profile dimensions, linear run, multiple runs, depressed gutter geometry and a profile-specific visual. Those requirements are materially different from slabs, walls, columns, steps and footings.
Ordering considerations
The order quantity includes the selected waste allowance. Bag count is rounded up to complete bags; truck count is rounded up to complete loads. Supplier minimums, site access, washout, reinforcement, forms, base preparation and labor are not inferred.
How many cubic yards are in a curb run?
Convert the cross-sectional area to square feet, multiply by length in feet, then divide cubic feet by 27.
Does the calculator replace project drawings?
No. Use the dimensions and cross-sectional area specified for the actual project. The visual is an explanatory planning diagram, not a construction detail.
