How this AP CSP score calculator works

The current U.S. AP Computer Science Principles assessment assigns 70% of the exam score to 70 multiple-choice questions and 30% to the Create performance task and related written responses. This tool converts each section to a percentage, applies those published weights, and adds the contributions.

Why the 1–5 result is adjustable

College Board reports final AP scores after statistical score setting. It does not publish one permanent raw-composite cutoff table that applies to every administration. The four cutoff fields are therefore study assumptions. Change them to test stricter or more forgiving scenarios rather than treating the default band as official.

Does this replace an official AP score?

No. It is a planning tool for practice sets. Only College Board can issue an AP score.

How should I estimate the Create section?

Use a teacher-scored practice task or rubric-based estimate covering the program submission and written responses. Avoid entering completion alone as 100%.
