Calculate by water test or geometry
This candle wax calculator can use the grams of water that fill one container, a cylindrical or rectangular internal volume, or a known mL, U.S. fluid-ounce or cup volume. Headspace is removed before density converts usable volume to wax-blend mass.
Wax density and fragrance convention
Select a wax density preset or enter a measured density. Fragrance can be entered as a percentage of wax weight or as a percentage of final blend weight; those conventions produce different amounts, so the calculator states which equation it used.
Batch loss, dye and cost
Pour and transfer waste is added to the full batch. Dye or additive weight is calculated from wax mass. Wax, fragrance and per-container costs then produce a material estimate and cost per candle.
Safety and testing
A quantity calculation cannot establish a safe candle system. Every wax, fragrance, dye, wick, vessel and fill combination needs controlled burn testing. Follow supplier limits, fire-safety guidance, labeling rules and applicable U.S. standards. Never exceed a fragrance load merely because the arithmetic permits it.
